Changes can be good....

Well again, there have been changes in our household. My husband had to relocate and is now pastoring a different church closer to our hometown. Things seem to be so peaceful right now, which is so nice. I pray that everything will work out here until God's plan changes for us.
Due to these changes and the move we have not gotten to start school until the first of September. My wish was to start the first week of August. Oh well, life goes on!
This year we are doing things a little different, but I've come to realize that something is different each year. No two years are the same, but you know, that's ok! Thats a good thing about homeschooling, you can change the way you do things from year to year.
I don't always like homeschooling. Some days it's all I can do to get myself out of my comfortable bed before 9am to get started teaching two very active boys! But, I love my children, and I will make that sacrifice to do what needs to be done in order for my children to have a good education and upbringing. You know learning is more than just about academics. It's about life. It's about learning how to be responsible adults who love God and are willing to obey him in faith.
I'm glad I have that opportunity to shape two boys into two young men who will love God, their wife, and kids. That is the most important thing I can give my kids. Above all education or resources (which are important) I can put them in a place where their marriage will be less likely to fail and their kids will know they are loved.
My youngest son told me the other day that when he grows up he wants his kids to be homeschooled! It made my heart happy to hear that. It tells me that homeschooling has not been a horrible experience for him!
God is making some changes in my own life and I will share more about that later.
